Editorial Reviews

About the Artist
Mitch Hedberg was one of the smartest, strangest, and by far most creative standup comedians of his day. Likened to a younger, hipper Steven Wright, Mitch garnered a large rabid following with observations like "Mr. Pibb is a poor imitation of Dr. Pepper. Dude didn't even get his degree." Mitch All Together is a double-digipak that contains a full-length CD of Mitch's newest observations, as well as a DVD of his best on-air performances and more.

Customer Reviews

Rockstar of comedy5
A man who was terrified of performing. You can see it in his live show. Yet he still pushes through, even when he feels like he crashes. It is comedic genius of the most honest level. Once again an out of control drug life takes a man who by many accounts would have only gained in popularity.
I can only wish for more material...

So, so, so funny!5
This whole CD is great. Mitch Hedberg has a way with one-liners, and can make you laugh every time, no matter how many times you have heard it before. He thinks of things that are so obvious, but spins them off in a humorous way, and then gives an example or tells a story. For example, he says that they say the recipe for Sprite is lemon and lime, but he thinks there's more to it. He then asks if you want some more homemade Sprite, and to himself replies, "Not until you figure out what the f*** else is in it!!" His apparent awkwardness and uncomfortable-ness actually really adds to his performance.

Hilarious but somewhat flawed4
I've now seen Mitch in all his efforts I think, from his first stand-up bits to his developing the somewhat stoned delivery that made him famous. He didn't need a schtick but it does work somewhat, his laid-back delivery is reminiscent of Steven Wright and his jokes come nearly as fast as Wright's. It's somewhat more adult material and his stoned demeanor gets wearing after awhile but this is still one of my favorite comedy CDs. The DVD is also great and you can see him progressing over time, which only makes his early passing worse since he might have been even better today. Getting this set will give you most of his material in one place and nearly all of his funniest stuff so I highly recommend it if you like Steven Wright, enjoy zingers and one-liners given in a somewhat deadpan delivery and don't mind the way he speaks as if he's high all the time.
