Beautiful5
Having just received this CD for Christmas, I am already practically addicted to several songs. I am and have been for many years a huge fan of anime, or an otaku as I prefer to call myself. Of all of the anime I've seen, Haibane Renmei is one of the most beautiful and artful works I have ever seen. As such, the music is just as inspiring, with an ethereal tone to it that simply pulls you in and is highly addictive.

To someone unfamiliar with anime, the beginning of the series does seem a bit bizarre, but the events and character developments are uniquely creative and leave the viewer in a sense of wonder...

The pair-up of composer Ko Otani and artists Heart of Air makes for a beautiful album. If you liked the main soundtrack of Haibane Renmei, Hanenone, chances are you will like this album as well. Though Blue Flow, the ending song of the anime, is not included as a track, many of the songs have a very similar sound. If you enjoyed Blue Flow you will without a doubt find this album to be as much of a treasure as I did. You can bet that it will be in my CD player for a long, long while.

Whoever concieved of this story and whomever designed the characters could rest forever off this series but we all hope they do not do so.While I was a bit angry over not knowing the "truth" of this I am now glad no effort was wasted trying to answer the questions. We can each constuct our own versions of what it all means and what the future holds for each of the characters. That is one of the great beauties of this series. We can revel in the story and construct a continuing story of our own long after the screen goes blank, our own sequals,if you will. This quality cannot be exceeded and can only rairly be equaled.
