Beautiful, but...
As a first impression, these shoes are fantastic out of the box. The cloth is substantial (not thin), and the shoes are well made and have a high quality look and feel. For the brown pair, the lighter "gold" part of the design is truly gold in that it has subtle metallic shimmer. As worn, however, my impression falls some. First, I think these are running a smidge small in length for the US size - it may be worth sizing up a half size if you normally have trouble with euro sizing. Also, I can't seem to wear these comfortably without socks. The seaming that encircles that top part of the shoe rubs. It definitely rubs on the heel and also puts pressure on the big toe at the base where the toe meets the foot. I'm not a shoe expert, so I'm not sure what the significance of that is. Some neutral statements are that these are truly "flats" without any sort of real heel or arch support; the size seems to be true or even a bit wide as far as width; there is some toe "cleavage" if that is something that bothers you. I would also take some care in scuffing the bottoms as they are slick out of the box. Ultimately, I think they are beautiful shoes and worth a discounted price tag but wish they fit a little better.
