Fira is a take-charge light-talent fairy, who never asks for help. So when all the fireflies come down with the firefly flu, who organizes light for Pixie Hollow? Fira. When three new light-talent fairies arrive on the same day, who volunteers to look after them? Fira. And when the mining-talent fairies set off on their monthly expedition into the underground caves, who lights the way? Fira, of course. But she's exhausted, and the deeper the miners go, the more her glow flickers and fades. Fira's full moon may turn out to be her darkest hour!

Customer Reviews
A good first chapter book.
Light-talent fairy, Fira takes charge when the fireflies get the no fire flu. Tiered after organizing the lighting of Pixie Hollow, relief comes to Fira in the form of triplet new faires. However, Fira soon learns how hard it is to manage all her new responsibilities and to provide light to the mining fairies expedition. The colorful artwork provided by the Disney Storybook Artists will help develop young readers imagination. The easy to read chapters make this book an ideal read for children grades 2 to 4 and a great introduction to chapter book reading.
2nd Grader loves these books.
My 8 y.o. has fallen in love with these books. You typically can't fail with Disney products and these are no exception. The stories are interesting and unlike some series books for this age range, these books stand alone and are not "formula" books where only the names and places are changed, but the same event takes place. Each fairy has a talent and her talent solves the problem in her book. The illustrations are vivid and imaginative. Apparently there's a movie about Pixie Hollow that will be coming out soon and there are also toys starting to come out with the fairies.
Disney Fairies are Fabulous!
Our 9-year-old daughter fell in love with Tinkerbell during a trip to Disney world last year. She used her spending money to buy Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg at Magic Kingdom. By the time we returned home she was enthralled with the details of the fairies and wanted to know more! Fira and the Full Moon is just one of about five amazing stories about the individual fairies from the bigger book. She has loved eac of these smaller books, too! The details about where they come from, what they eat, and how they bathe are enchanting for little girls! They are too cute for words.
