Customer Reviews
So Far so good.
This is a sturdy umbrella, and since it's huge, it'll do the job of keeping you and maybe a couple friends dry. The only complaint (which isn't one at all) is that since the umbrella is so sturdy you'll be fighting to hold it up during heavier winds... (which is better than what would usually happen with a cheaper umbrella).
handle smells like tires - makes your hands smell
Warning - this umbrella handle seems to be made of a tire composite material and even after we've had it opened for 4 weeks - it still smells really bad. Make anything it touches smell. We told them we wanted to return it,but Amazon just gave us credit for it and said to toss it.
Cheap price and handle
The best thing this umbrella has going for it is the price. Its by far the cheapest umbrella of its size that I found. The biggest problem with it is the handle. The handle is made of some sort of rubber which emits a horrible smell. I've had other products like that, and the smell does go away eventually, but it takes a little while. The worst thing here is the smell being on the handle. This means it can transfer to your hand.
I guess the basic thing here is, if you want a cheap umbrella and cheap is the most important thing, then this umbrella is for you. If you want one that doesn't reek or has all sorts of testing to say it can handle high winds you're probably going to have to go elsewhere.
