Customer Reviews
Immaculately crafted golf shoe meant for years of play!
This shoe is really quite incredible. Maybe I've just not tried on golf shoes in a while since I'm easy on my shoes but I think it's beyond that. Th ese shoes are nearly a work of art. Seriously.
The parts not described about these are the gorgeous, guaranteed-waterproof leather (love the brick red color, in particular) that fits like it's half-broken-in (in a good way) right out of the box. Then there's the sleek, exposed 'mini-max' air pocket crafted under the carbon fiber inserted heel cup that hugs like no other. The contrast stitching throughout the shoe is in perfect alignment & looks awesome and durable.
And the sole...wow. Coolest looking sole of any shoe I've ever seen or owned. I've got a pair of Nike Max Air Gore-tex shoes & tried on lesser Nikes with the Power Channel but I've never seen anything quite like this: 2 different densities of rubber plastic with directional, asymmetrical lugs purposely planted throughout & in between the flawless Scorpion spikes. The outside sole (from Channel to edge) is a shiny, dense plastic-coated rubber that looks great & has a certain lug shape to dig in the grass and provide stability while the inside half is more rubberized with a matte texture and smaller traction lugs to flex & provide comfort under the arch and ball of the foot. It's really quite a site to see, if you stop to pay attention. Again, nothing like any other golf, 'tennis' or even other Nike shoe I've ever laid eyes on.
The fit is on the Nike Golf last, which, when compared to 10-12 other Nikes I own that range from 12-13 in size, these run big. I bought an 11.5 & still have room on my longer foot in front of my big, big-toe! My other Nikes span from 1997-2008 in year purchased/made and these shoes run bigger than all of them, regardless of purpose or sport. I've found this to be common on their current golf-last though but beware before you buy!
As for the fit, I have a VERY narrow foot (absurdly narrow & just about the same width from front to back -like AA/B width) and while not a 'glove-like' fit (what is on my foot?) they're plenty snug & contain 7 pairs of lace holes -more than the average golf shoe, for certain- making for plenty of lace coverage and no heel slippage whatsoever.
I got these on a screamin' buy after not purchasing new shoes in nearly 5 years & wow am I impressed (if you couldn't tell). You should really do yourself a favor and score yourself a pair of these or the new ones (if you can afford it!). I'm not a great golfer but I am a discerning one & love the details that make one product work better than the others and going with the best I can afford. You certainly can only go right by these! Besides maaaaybe the adidas Tour360, there's not a better shoe on the market. They even come with a TW microfiber bag that feels like suede to carry them in! It just doesn't get any better than this!
I can't wait to use these for years to come...
the best Nike TIGER WOODS SHOE yet for the money
paid $110 online for the Nike Tiger woods AIR TOUR TW 8.5 from a authorized dealer, and they perform well, the power channel is awesome, it really keeps you in balance during the swing, and no slipage. while walking very comfortable, never had feet be tired, or soar. I was looking for a all black golf shoe, with just a small nike swoosh, I don't like the large swoosh that most of the other TW shoes have. The air zoom TW are next, but need to wait for the price to come down, $225 is too much for me...
Comfortable Support
