For almost thirty years, ZAGAT has reported on the shared experiences of diners. Here are the results of the 2009 Miami/So.Florida Restaurant Survey, covering hundreds of restaurants. The surveyors are male and female and of all ages. No matter the economic climate, our appetite for lively dining destinations continues unabated, inspiring ever bolder ventures. For every notable closing, there's another restaurateur waiting in the wings, often joined by an expensive team of architects and designers, and ZAGATSURVEY is always there to note the changes. So whether you are looking for the hippest restaurant, where to dine with celebs or find a lunch bargain, the new 2009 Miami/So.Florida Restaurant Survey rates and reviews the best restaurants. The newest guide delivers ZAGAT'S signature comprehensive coverage, rating each restaurant on appeal, decor, service and cost.

Customer Reviews
Great Local tool but reviews need updating
The Zagat series is as we all know has become the standard by which restaurants are rated and frankly worth going to. I've discover quite a few places I had no clue of prior to using these guides.
But must make a statement about the yearly updates. I get them for my local area every year. Unfortunately, have found that in many, many restauarants reviews, it's the exact same review of three years ago (word for word) and the places in question have changed for better or worse. But the 2009 issue does NOT reflect these changes. That is disappointing because it's one of the primary reasons to buy the updated version year after year.
Therefore, I feel a bit cheated and question some of the ratings. I have sent emails to the publisher about this concern but have not received a single response.
If you're new to these Guides, you'll enjoy them and use them often. But if you own one that is less than 4 years old, 2009 edition does not merit purchase. It's essential the same one you already own but with "2009" on the cover.
