This gives you a good flavor of what Elvis was doing on stage in Las Vegas from 1969 through 1972....the first CD is compiled from various albums, while the second CD is an unreleased concert from 1969....make sure to get the 2-CD version so you'll get both

There are a lot of different compilations of Elvis's Christmas music, but this one has got all of the 1957 and 1971 albums, minus the 4 gospel songs on the original 1957 LP, but it adds the title song from 1966 and 4 alternate takes....so it's got virtually all of Elvis's Christmas songs on it

OK, here's a 5-CD box set that has almost all the studio tracks of the King in the 1950s....instead of collecting the many individual albums of Elvis, you could go the easier route by getting this and the next 2 box sets and thus have almost all his best studio work

And a 5-CD set that's the best of The King's 1970's studio work

This is one of the better ones of the "travelogue" movies Elvis did, and the music in it is very pretty too....the stories in this type of movie are not as meaningful, but they're just meant to be fun

Another of the better ones of the fun "travelogue" movies with Elvis, and he and Ann-Margret definitely click together - some good music too

Volume 1 of the biography by Peter Guralnick is great in detailing his life up to 1958.....I can't recommend volume 2, though, because in it Guralnick criticizes almost everything Elvis did in the Seventies
