Whatever he is, there is no doubt that this character is one of the most ominous in recent memory. So much so..that I just had to add an eleventh entry to my top ten villain's list.

Buy used from: $4.75 A truly great film that is on most critics top 10 list. Welles plays a corrupt sheriff in a Texas border town, and he is the epitome of evil.

Buy used from: $49.99 Laurence Olivier has played a few great villains. He was terrific as an ex-Nazi in Marathon Man, but he is even better in Sleuth. Can a villain be lovable? Olivier proves it to be possible.
