Customer Reviews
Good try but not very good implementation.
I bought this DORO 330 phone as an attempt to find the phone that is simple to use, with good buttons, speakerphone, good display and without all that crap in the modern phones that most people never use.
DORO was supposed to be exactly the right model.
The first unit arrived with dead display...
Brief troubleshooting revealed the intermittent PCB. Because I didn't want to loose the warranty, I simply asked for another unit.
Amazon shipped promptly and here what I found:
1. Buttons are convenient and big enough.
2. Display has low resolution and even with large numerals looks fuzzy and fade.
3. Sound is mediocre at best - speakerphone was so-so.
4. Menu was not as intuitive as I would expect from such phone - my wife was unable to input the address book...
5. Many items in menu were poor English translations from the foreign language, therefore, their "shortening" were very non-intuitive. For example, what do you think is "NO"? It is a short for NUmber!
6. Battery lasts two times less than in typical Nokia.
FInally, after 1 month and 5 days (just beyond the free return period) this second unit died... Symptom: Blank screen no response.
I am shipping it back asking for a refund.
Summary: Good try, but bad implementation.
Do I recommend it - sorry, no.
