It's all in the steel5
The first thing one notices about this knife as it slips out of the sheath is the integrity of the blade. Sharpened at the factory to a razor edge, it holds this edge a long time before the first sharpening has to occur. This has been what has always impressed me most about Swedish steel, its edge holding ability. I have several Mora knives I use for wood carving and there really is no equal to these knives.

Whether you're cutting rope, chopping up vegetables, or any other task around camp, this knife is a tremendous tool. I've used mine for fleshing off the fat on a deerskin; shaving sticks for kindling; cutting through hard plastic items, etc etc. This might be the only tool you really need when you're out there in the woods by yourself.

The contoured grip handle fits the hand well, the drop point design is functional and pleasing to the eye.

Most highly recommended.

It would be alright if you're careful.2
It was dull as a butter knife out of the package but was extremely easy to get a razor sharp edge. The blade had no oil on it, and had some minor pitting, disappointing but it can be remedied... The steel is carbon steel, I don't know what grade since it doesn't say. The sheath is NOT ambidextrous. If you try to put it in for left hand carry the blade doesn't lock in. It's also not full tang, the blade only goes about an inch into the handle.

I used it to cut some food and I planned on using it primarily as a skinning knife but before I could really use it I accidentally dropped it about 2 feet onto a carpeted floor and a massive chunk of the edge chipped off making it essentially worthless. For me it's not worth the hassle of fixing. It's not likely I'll buy another one.

Awesome5
This is the perfect belt/pocket/neck knife you can own. Carbon steel blade that will last a life time! The handle and sheath are plastic but not the cheap kind of plastic, they are very durable and will also last a life time. Everyone that loves the out doors should have this! Yes there are ones out there with bone handles and leather sheaths, but they are $100+.
