Product Description
Our eco-conscious yoga mat is completely non-toxic, biodegradable, recyclable, and contains no latex, PVC, or rubber. During the production of the mat, no toxic materials are used and waste is minimized and recycled back into the production process. The mat is made from a newly patented material composed of carbon and hydrogen called TPE (Thermal Plastic Elastomer), which is a closed-cell foam that gives excellent support while preventing water absorption allowing for easy cleaning. The mats are textured on each side, have fantastic traction, and are non-slip. This is the perfect choice for those who might have an allergic reaction to natural rubber yet still desire an eco-friendly yoga mat. The mats are available in 5mm and 8mm thicknesses. The 5mm is just a little thinner than our extra thick 1/4'' mat, while the 8mm is considerably thicker. For comparison, note that a true 1/4'' mat is 6.2mm thick.

Customer Reviews
Great product
I was leary of buying this mat because there was no review for it. After some deliberation, I decided to take a chance and spend the money. I'm glad I did, I love this mat. It is great on hard wood floors, offering lots of cushion (8mm) without being too spungy. It also offers great traction and it seems like it will hold up for many years.
Comfort and Durability
This is very thick and comfortable. I have only had it a couple of weeks so far, but it seems very durable. Great traction, even when my hands and feet are getting really sweaty. I have nothing bad to say yet. I'll keep people posted if that changes.
Nice but a little too thick
I've only used the mat a few times so cannot say how it stands the test of time, but so far, so good. It's got a slight chemical smell, but that seems like it will wear off. I seem to be less allergic to it than to my previous mat, which was natural rubber, although I did sneeze the first time I used it. It's nice and cushiony, but a little too thick for my taste. It can't even fit into my mat bag, which is a big one. Throws you off on the balances, but it's nice on the knees when kneeling.
