Convenient. 
Advantages:
1. About the same size as a plastic grocery bag.
2. Stuffs in to very convenient / attached ultra compact carrying pouch.
3. Easy to carry in pocket or purse when not in use.
4. Durable nylon material.
Disadvantages:
1. Does not hold as much as most of the larger canvas or cotton grocery totes.
2. Does not have gusseted / flat bottom.
3. Very wrinkled appearance when you take it out of the pouch. (Not for the neat freak.)
Best bags ever!
I absolutely love these bags! I have 7 bags, and use them for everything. They are incredibly strong; the baggers at my grocery store always comment on how much fits in them. I can usually leave the store with 3 Chico Bags of groceries which would have been 7 or 8 of plastic bags. They'll easily hold all my canned goods or 2 cartons of milk. The pouches they fold into are convenient, too. They fit easily in my purse and glove compartment. I've used my bags for more than a year, so they're really durable, too. I haven't had any wear on any of them.
Tore quickly
This bag is very light & handy with the built in pouch, but it tore after using it only 2 or 3 times. And, I only used it for carrying groceries. I would prefer a more durable material.
