Works As Advertised5
I got two of these hardhats for use cutting and splitting firewood off about 150 acres in the mountains. They assembled easily and work fine, especially the wire screen face guard, which will not fog up or scratch but keeps flying dust and chips away from the face. This product is priced at about 50% of what I found on several safety supply company web pages, so though cost was important, quality was equal to the higher priced units. Good merchandise for a great price.

Product is okay, assembly very difficult.3
The helmet comes with no real instructions. There are what might be called instructions on the bag the helmet comes in but it is only for attaching the suspension straps and is not helpful besides. All the bag says is to insert the suspension strap clips into the helmet but no directions as to how to do this. The way the clips do fit in is counter-intuitive and I would bet most people put it in wrong on the first try (here's a hint for those of you trying to figure it out: the clips insert from crown side of the helmet out to the edge, not the edge into the crown and the clips bend in the middle so that the other end of the clip should be towards the edge with the middle bend towards the crown). There is no instructions for attaching the face shield or the ear protections. I am usually very adept at figuring out how things go together but this helmet even stumped me for a while. All told it took me about a half hour to put together which is ridiculous considering that if decent directions were included it should have taken under five minutes. Also, like other reviewers, I cannot get the ear protection to fit snugly on my ears so they do not block noise very well.

Very comfortable and good visibility5
Am new to using a chain saw, but have a couple of acres of cedar on our property that have been damaged in ice storms. Have used this while clearing out both overgrowth and damaged limbs and find it very comfortable, easy to use and love the visibility through the screen face shield. I do a lot of woodworking and always hated the way plastic face shields fog up when I get hot, but obviously can't run into that with this. Will certainly give it a try in my wood shop as well. Very good at keeping flying wood chips away from my face and keeping the noise down. Haven't had the opportunity to try out the hard hat function -- and hope I don't ever.
