Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
Daisy the endearing duckling shows preschoolers the way to bounce up and down, hop like rabbits, and pounce like kittens "so early in the morning" in Jane Simmons's adorable little board book. Pictorial tabs help youngsters go straight to their favorite parts of the classic song, "Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush." A frog squats placidly on one tab, while inside he and Daisy leap wildly, and on the "flap our wings" page, a bumblebee flitter-flutters its wings alongside the energetic yellow duck. Vibrant, warm colors suffuse the pages, and each fluffy or fluttery or splashy critter invites readers to linger (or hop) a while. The many devotees of Simmons's other Daisy titles--Come Along, Daisy!, Daisy's Hide-and-Seek,Daisy Says "If You're Happy and You Know It", etc.--will be charmed anew by the earnest ducky. (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter

From Publishers Weekly
Youngsters can sing along with Daisy duck in two titles from Jane Simmons: Daisy Says "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush" and Daisy Says "If You're Happy and You Know It." In both, adapted lyrics put the focus on animals. Tabbed pages tell readers where to find their favorite creatures, from Daisy herself to butterflies and frogs. (Mar.)

From School Library Journal
PreSchool-These two board books, based on popular children's songs, feature the adorable duckling. In Mulberry Bush, children will naturally join in as Daisy bounces up and down, flaps her wings, hops like a rabbit, pounces like a cat, leaps like a frog, and finally goes to sleep when it's no longer "early in the morning," but time for bed. If You're Happy follows a similar format where children are asked to quack like a duck, squeak like a mouse, oink like a pig, and make other animal sounds. The song ends with the verse: "If you're happy and you know it, sleep like me," as Daisy snuggles up next to her mother and drifts off to dreamland. Both editions are manageable for small hands, yet large enough to use with groups. Strong side tabs show a picture of the animal featured on each spread/new verse. The lyrics are complemented by softly rendered artwork that makes Daisy an irresistible character.

Daisy Helps Our Children Stay Healthy5
Daisy the duck does different activities to the song, "Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush." She stomps, she bounces, she flaps her arms, plus much more. Children will love to get up and move as she.

A different animal is on each tab. As the child turns a page they learn the name of an animal. Invite your child to learn and play with Daisy.
