Omura Drops the Ball on this Edition1
I've purchased George Omura Autocad books in the past, mainly the Instant References. I felt the Instant References were extremely helpful, brief and to the point. But this edition is anything but helpful. I've found myself on numerous occaisons refrencing the AutoCad 2008 book and not finding the command or instruction that is used within the AutoCAD 2008 program. On many commands he'll mix the explanation with other portions of the manual making it hard to follow and not very descriptive, example MText command, where he writes on 2 lines of description and no examples. Command Icons are very hard to find and nearly impossible to read. The older Autocad editions use to list/show all the command icons. This edition does not. Another good example is DIMVARS AND SETVARS, even though this is 2008 edition, it is still used and needed to adjust different aspects of Autocad. Wouldn't it be easier to list all the commands in the Index and reference where they are located within the book? Another example, DVIEW, where is it? What ever happend to World Blocking or WBLOCK?? This just names a few out of MANY COMMANDS that are NOT listed or referenced.

If you are a Novice with AutoCAD I highly don't recommend this book. George Omura should have stuck with the Instant Reference series.
