Product Description

Living in the Now was created from blog posts and offers inspiration, reflections on the human condition, and practical spiritual guidance on subjects such as aging, fear, anger, choice, boredom, desire, patience, peace, faith, forgiveness, acceptance, love, commitment, hope, purpose, honesty, spiritual experiences, meditation, being present, healing conditioning, trusting life, trusting your Heart, and many other deep subjects.

The intent of these messages is to help you wake up out of the ego and realize your true nature as Oneness and, therefore, be more present, happy, loving, and fulfilled in your life. These messages were given to Gina Lake by a wise and benevolent consciousness from another dimension, who is dedicated to helping humanity awaken. Each short message stands on its own and can be used for contemplation or as a spiritual reminder.

Editorial Reviews

Review
"With her latest book, Living in the Now, Gina Lake continues to establish herself as one of the major spiritual teachers of our time. The 82 short chapters are each a powerfully inviting doorway for learning how to recognize the peace and happiness of the now and how to live in it constantly. Although the convenient, bite-sized wisdom is especially well-suited for busy people who have only spare moments to absorb spiritual instruction, everyone can benefit equally. This is a must read." --Dennis Trunk, Editor, Third Millennium Gateway, January 1, 2009

Quotes from Living in the Now:

"Your hands are alive, and this aliveness can be felt. Take a moment and just feel the aliveness. It's experienced subtly, like a vibration or tingling or warmth. Notice how this aliveness is not only in your hands but throughout your body. Can you feel it in your face?...your scalp?...your feet?...your arms?...your thighs?...your chest? Every part of your body is alive, and this aliveness can be felt subtly by you when you pay attention to it. Paying attention to it will automatically bring you into the now. Experiencing life brings you into life and brings you to life, you could say."

"This experience that you are having right now is it. This moment is life--it's what is real. And it's just what it is. You can pile all the thoughts, feelings, and imaginations into it that you want, but it still is just this. And no matter how much money you have in the bank or don't have, how youthful or old you are, how talented or untalented you are, how successful or unsuccessful you are, you still have just this. No billionaire has any more or less of this. People try to dress it up in ideas, but it still comes down to just this simple moment. You can love it or hate it, but you still just have this."

"This commentator in your head is not you. It's especially not a wise you. Would you listen to this voice if it weren't going on in your head? You can use your functional, rational mind to see through this more primitive aspect of the mind, which has taken control and pretends to be you but doesn't deserve control. It doesn't deserve your attention. The worst thing about giving your attention to this voice is that you can't give it to something else that is truer and more fulfilling."

Living in the Now5
If you're like me and your opportunities to read come in stolen moments here and there, then Gina Lake's new format in "Living in the Now,"is perfect for you! It doles out its perennial wisdom in bite-sized, easy to digest and assimilate pieces. Contrary to a popular misunderstanding, if "waking up" is your heart's desire, there is a lot to choose and commit to. This book can take you there, right to Truth's door, if you follow its simple and practical advice.

In addition,"Living in the Now" unlocks the secret of how to truly live "Awakeness." Once and for all, get direct and clear answers on topics like choice, feelings, life purpose, boredom, grief, relationships that sometimes get sidestepped in non-dual circles. If "waking up" in this lifetime is what you truly want, don't wait or hesitate, get this book now. You won't be able to put it down!

Easy to Read Format Another A+ Read by Gina and Theo5
This book by Gina Lake and Theo has a slightly different layout than her others. It is in a succinct bit-at-a-time format that makes it perfect to keep by the bedside or on a coffee table. Pick it up, read a bit of wisdom, and put it down with no worries about losing your train of thought.

Capsules of wisdom, to take as you would your vitamins...yes, these are vitamins for your essence.

Taken from Gina's blog, these wisdom bites are geared toward helping us live in the NOW, as you might have guessed from the title. It is exciting to read the deep books and go to seminars and workshops...but living these practices in the real world of grumpy spouses, cars that break down and people that are sometimes unkind makes it a bit tougher to practice them. Theo and Gina give us little tidbits to HELP stay in the Now even when the world is dragging you into a place of NOT NOW I WANT TO SCREAM and SLAP SOMEBODY!

As always, I highly recommend anything written by Gina and Theo. This is no exception. Add it to your spiritual library and read and re-read this gem of a book. Namaste, Gina and Theo.

Living in the Now5
If ever there was a time for humanity to evolve in Consciousness it is this present moment. This book offers clear and concise guidance for living in the Now rather than being stuck in egoic thought. As it is written in stand alone chapters it can be read and savored in any order. Take note, though, once the reading starts it will be hard to put down! Three cheers and five stars for this book!
