Great Reference Book
This is a very extensive and well organized reference book for the home gardener but as the title says, its an encyclopedia and does not provide suggestions, garden planning or tips. I bought this book along with the "Gardening All-in-One for Dummies" for the "how to's" and it has been a perfect combination.
Encyclopedia of Plant Care
This is, by far, the most comprehensive book of its kind. Should you ever need a gift for a gardner, beginner or expert, this would be a great choice.
I have found that to have a picture increases my retention of the name of the plant/bush or tree. All I can say - it's great!
Great book for anyone that likes plants
I am a college student and have work land scape at a private and very beautiful golf course in the mid west for 5 years, and let me tell you this book is probably one of the best books I have worked with. The back is great it shows you what plants like what type of conditions and where they should be planted. Though it doesn't have every single type of plant in it, it still is an excellent book for any experience type. The book is laid out in different sections, for example tree and shrub, house plants, grasses, flowers, and vegetable, fruit and herb care so finding something is easy even when you don't know the name. Plus how can you go wrong with a book that is made by miracle grow.
