Mysteria Magica is the classic ritual text of training and development in the Western Mystery Tradition, appearing on countless suggested reading lists. Long out of print, this book has been hard to find and expensive when chanced upon.
A complete system of Magick, Mysteria Magica reveals essential and advanced teachings in terms that even newcomers can follow, with a richness of inspiration embraced by experienced mages. Mysteria Magica explores the core of Ceremonial Magick-the inner system of symbolism, philosophy, and spiritual technology. It shows how and why ritual acts can lead to their desired result in the "Principles of Ceremonial" section. This comprehensive work also presents a formal traditional education in the key elements of High Magick: sigils; telesmata; consecration; protection; and Enochian rituals and techniques, including proper pronunciation of the Enochian language. Designed for individual or group use, Mysteria Magica contains the most vital procedures of High Magick with authentic texts and formulae.

About the Author
Melita Denning and Osborne Phillips are internationally-recognized authorities on the mainstream Western Mysteries and are two of the foremost exponents of the Ogdoadic Tradition, that premier hermetic school whose keywords are knowledge and regeneration, and whose influence and works are historically traceable for the past one thousand years.
The authors received their major esoteric training in the magical order Aurum Solis, a society which was founded in 1897 and which has continued in active existence to the present day. On July 8, 1987, the authors, then heads of Aurum Solis, retired from the Order; but on June 23, 1988, at the unanimous request of the members, they resumed office.
In 1997, Melita Denning passed from this earth.

Complete course of magick (Classic)
This is a magical book. It is the real deal. Today's market is saturated magick books that repeat over and over the same ideas. This classic is complete and has ideas that are still fresh. It has a comprehensive section on Enochian magic. It has a very well organized system that will take a complete beginner to a level of deep understanding of high magick. It was writen for people who wanted the enlightenment of a magical lodge but wanted to be a solo practitioner. Bottom line if you are beginner or advanced this book is for you. It is a classic. If you are a ceremonial magican this is a book you need in your library.
Powerfully educating, and excellent book of Magic
Primarily ceremonial magic, this book is very deep, and should be recommended to only the very advanced practitioner of magic. It is complex, and a good deal of it is written in the latin, and greek languages. It is NOT a single book either, it is a series of books, six I believe, which is an error. Highly recommended.
Practical techniques to go along with Other Volumes
This should not be one's first book on magic(k), as others have stated. I DO think that a motivated novice could begin with the whole set of three books (Foundations of High Magic, The Sword and the Serpent, and this volume). In essence where the other two are theoretical, this adds practice.
Part of the problem however, is defining a novice book on the subject. I generally think Francis King's "Techniques of High Magic" is a good primer, but this is at least as good as that book as it is far more comprehensive and the understanding of the authors is impeccable.
The one thing that is lacking for a novice here is putting this all together into a curriculum for self-development. This is one area the book could be clearer. At the same time, the approach taken is a good one.
This is a classic work (along with the other two mentioned in the first paragraph of this review) and is highly recommended.
