Customer Reviews
Comprehensive, informative reading.
When I learned that my father would possibly be moving to a skilled care nursing home, I looked around for material regarding caring for the elderly from a Christian perspective. This book was very helpful. The author has personally experienced care-giving for both of her parents. She gives insight from all perspectives such as, health care, siblings, government support, estates, living wills, support groups and taking care of yourself. Each chapter has a Biblical scripture theme. The book would be inspiring and informative to those who are overwelmed with all the issues of taking care of elderly parents. I found the book to especially benefit me since I am the daughter who doesn't live in the same town as my father so the burden of care-giving falls on my sister. This book gave me many ideas on how I can support her. I was so impressed with the information in the book that I purchased the book for my sister.
Caring for your aging parents
Helpful information. Supportive when you are in this situation. It is a book that I highlighted abundantly. Gave me hope and assured me that I was in a commonly difficult situation.
Just What I Needed!
I wish I had found this book when the journey with my father had just started instead of towards the end.
Covers all concerns...freed me from much guilt...put things into perspective for me , which is hard to do when you feel like you are in the middle of a whirlwind!
READ THIS BOOK & give it to all of those you love.
It will make such a difference!
