A treasure. Atlas's historical journeys are whimsical and memorable. Good, simple recipes, enough to form an entire repertoire of healthy, ethnic cuisine. -- Vegetarian Times

From the Publisher
More than 230 easty, tasty recipes using readily available ingredients are at the heart of these pages, but Vegetariana is more than a cookbook. It's a sampler of wit, folk wisdom, verse, botanical lore, literary anecdotes, and aphrodisia, all pertaining to the delights of delicious food and wholesome meals. In all, it's a lighthearted celebration of the vegetarian way of life.
