Customer Reviews

Save your money! This book is not worth the cost!1
I was very disappointed when I read this book. I felt like I waisted my money. Over half of this book was about Mr. Hemphill's childhood and family, blaiming society for mistreating blacks for the reason he became a "Robin Hood" [thief]! The other half of the book offers no real information about how identity theft is committed or how to protect against it. The style of writing is confusing, and, in parts, makes no sense at all. The reader is left wondering how Mr. Hemphill justifies his self-proclumation of being a "mastermind of a multi-million dollar organized identy theft ring." If you want to learn about identy theft, save your money on this book.

No Content - Written poorly2
I agree with the person that says there is "no meat" in this text. It is funny to see that Amazon is also trying to bundle this book with the T.Carter book that is also poorly written. Both feel like blog posts by ghetto people who couldn't make it any other way in life so they dabbled in fraud. Their practices are not relevant to today and even if they were the books do not share enough detail. Their information is very speculative since they're speaking strictly from experience and guesses instead of technical research into how banking/check processing works.

Rollin True Confessions of a Former Identity Theif1
Unfortunatly this book had no meat to it. I liked the fact that it was written as if I was talkin with the author Roland BUT he repeated things way to often and never ever went into great detail about how some of the scams were pulled off.

My credit repair book "Credit Smart" is written in a similar style but I go into great detail about what to do and I show many examples of TRUE things that I have done. http://www.loanofficerstore.com/products.html#products_link
Many people have benefited from my manual and that was my intention when I wrote it (as well as making a profit of course). With Rollin I felt like Roland was just perpatrating another scam on me by selling me an empty book. I felt let down.

Pesonally I think that a qualified fiction writer could have done a better job. I never ever felt like I was on the "inside".

I also ordered Scams and Swindles from Amazon at the same time and I am 25% finished.... but that book delivers the goods!
