About the Author
About the author: Thomas Negovan Since 1999 Thomas Negovan has been curating museum level collections of Art Nouveau and Symbolist art and artifacts as co-founder of Century Guild. As one of the first collectors of the artwork of Gail Potocki, Thomas has applied his understanding of the history of Symbolism to provide a unique insight into the development of her career. He also lectures on the topics of Symbolism and the Berlin Cabaret era. About the artist: Gail Potocki Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1961, Gail Potocki learned to paint in the manner of the Old Masters and has applied her skills to creating contemporary Symbolist imagery. Her artwork has won top honors in several international exhibitions devoted to Symbolism and Surrealism, sharing wall space with artworks by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, H. R. Giger, and Salvador Dali, and has been featured on numerous television programs and in a variety of periodicals, including The Sentimentalist and Juxtapoz Art & Culture magazines.

Grant Morrison has said good things about Gail Potocki's art, so you know it has to be good! ;)
But in all seriousness, this woman creates really really beautiful works of art. The cover of "Union of Hope and Sadness" should give you a hint of what Gail Potocki can do. This collection was released all the way back in 2006, and Olympian Publishing is promising a second collection of her work will be released sometime in 2009(which will be called "Opened Apples").
