About the Author
Mark A. Munizzo, IFAS, CAE, is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Illinois and the president of The Equity Network, a real estate appraisal and consulting firm. He has served on the education and advisory councils for the Appraisal Foundation Sponsors and is a member of the Examinations Committee for Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Mark has a Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) designation with the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). He is also a certified Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice instructor and a national instructor with the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA). He also received NAIFA's Instructor of the Year Award in 2002. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Norbert College, Mark is currently completing his graduate studies in real estate appraising at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. In addition to coauthoring 13 AQB certified appraisal books from Cengage Learning, he has previously reviewed and consulted on several real estate texts published by Dearborn Real Estate Education.

Lisa Virruso Musial, IFAS, president of Musial Appraisal Company in Riverside, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Methods from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Illinois and a practicing commercial real estate appraiser in the Chicago market. Lisa is a national instructor with the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA), and received NAIFA's Instructor of the Year Award in 2004. She also is a certified Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice instructor with The Appraisal Foundation. In addition to coauthoring 13 AQB certified appraisal books from Cengage Learning, she has previously reviewed and is acknowledged in several real estate texts published by Dearborn Real Estate Education.
