Customer Reviews
Excellent reference for northern california
After reading so many books written by east coast authors and/or too general to be helpful, I was pleased to come across these books (there are a few - just look up the author to see all of them). As the title says, they are all very specific to northern california. They devote 2-4 pages to each tree or shrub and talk about which specific varieties they recommend most for our area, and why. And they do point out that while a certain tree may be good for the coast, it will die a quick death come a sacramento summer.
