The Bride's Year Ahead, Deluxe Edition, promises to be as consistent a star in the wedding resource category as the other books by the same team of author Marguerite Smolen and photographer Carol Ross. Organized in a countdown, month-by-month format, the deluxe planner has all the features that the Bride's Year Ahead had plus many more. The book now includes twelve 8 ½ x 11 inch see-through, well-sized pockets located at the end of each month perfect for storing contracts, quotations, brochures as well as one resealable in the back of the book. Also included are see-through pages for business cards (two pages can store 10 each for a total of 20 or double up and 40 cards can be easily stored for reference). The new edition also features more advice and drawings of classic dress designs reference, in addition to sketches of body types, helpful flower identification photos for bouquets, photos of the popular floral centerpieces, ring setting designs and styles, and gift ideas for wedding party members. The updates in this new, expanded edition are by author and editor, Andrea Feld. Andrea s 14 years at Brides magazine have put her in the forefront of wedding trends. In addition, she is the author of several wedding-related books, as well as serving as editor for many more.

Editorial Reviews
Review
Think of "The Brides' Year Ahead Deluxe Edition" as a do-it-yourself replacement for that expensive wedding planner you can't afford to hire. This interactive book is a day-by-day countdown guide for brides trying to assemble the perfect wedding. There is plenty of advice for flowers, cakes, gifts and more, plus storage compartments for contracts, business cards, clippings, photos and more. After the wedding, it doubles as a memory keepsake. --Denver Post

Customer Reviews
not as expected
When I purchased this planner, I was excited to think this was going to spell it all out for me in an easy month-by-month format. This book failed on every level. Not only is the text generic and somewhat old-fashioned, but the list of things to do each month is so generic that it isn't helpful. I exchanged it for "The Bride's Essential Wedding Planner," which is a much better book-- at HALF the price!!
