cute4
funny, with just enough drama to keep it interesting
The daughter of a mob boss has an all consuming crush on one of her father's gophers Eugene, a young man she's grown up with, so she transfers to his high school to be closer to the object of her desire only to find herself closer to the son of her father's ex-partner and current enemy...I think we all know where this is going, but it's a fun ride.

One Of My Favorites5
I'm writing this review mainly because I want to spread the word out on this great series! I've been around the block, manga-wise, and I have to say that Neck and Neck is one of the best "They Hate Each Other At First..." type of romance novels I've seen. Dabin and Shihu's cat-and-mouse games have me laughing even when I reread the series.

This series is always one of the first I recommend to friends, and I advise anyone who likes romantic-comedies to check it out. This is one of the best out there!

There's one thing you should be warned about, though. As of this time, volumes 3 & 6 are listed as "out of print" on Amazon. Back when I was still buying the series, I had to special order #6 from the Tokyopop website. I know this may put some people off the series, but trust me-- it's worth a little scrambling around to read this wonderful story.

Entertaining, but not original3
This book, the first of what is supposed to become a series, was about what I'd hoped for - light, fluffy teen romance in a manga form. Decent characterization and a fairly interesting plot make this fun to read, but nothing in it was unexpected or original. A good read if you're looking for something in the bubblegum-pop genre, but not extraordinary.
