Excellent Handling of Difficult Topic
The author did a superb job of presenting this difficult topic at a level that is appropriate for children. It was the right amount of detail presented with honesty and sensitivity.

Excellent coverage of a difficult topic for struggling readers.
This is a children's book written specifically for struggling readers. The author did an amazing job writing about the tragic twin towers event of 911 using basic vocabulary and sentence structure. This is a good book for teachers or parents who have children who are beginning, ESL, or struggling readers with an interest in learning about 911. All too often books for children who have difficulty reading are on fluffy topics or subjects that are not commensurate with the age group. This book bucks the trend and gives children a chance to read about a complicated and important event.

A tragic event glossed over.
I was very disappointed, not enough detailed information. This book seemed to be written for children. The day's events deserved more coverage.
