The fat quarter is a favorite specialty cut of fabric favored by quilters and quilt shops for its versatility. In contrast to a traditional quarter-yard piece of fabric, a fat quarter is cut crosswise from a half-yard piece, yielding an 18x22-inch "fat" quarter-yard piece. Whether you're a collector of fat quarters or you've just discovered the joys of working with them, you'll find a treasure trove of fat-quarter-friendly projects in this collection of quilts.
7 quilts: French Country Stars (and a shower curtain design option); Wicker Wonder (Basket blocks in muted browns); Pineapple Twist (Log Cabin variation); Chip Off the Ol' Block (combining Hour Glass, Four-Patch, and Square-in-a-Square); Fat-Quarter Frenzy (with Flying Geese and Star blocks); Home for the Harvest (House blocks); and Mississippi Wheel of Fortune (featuring rickrack).

Seven quilts from fat quarters
Are you a "fabriholic" like I am? Got a "million" fat-quarters but just can't think of how to use them? Then, FABULOUS FAT-QUARTER QUILTS is the booklet for you.
There are seven quilts to make with fat-quarters. The themes have stars, baskets, log cabins, pinwheels, and houses. Each project begins with a materials list so you know just how to use those fat-quarters. Then there is a how-to cut the fabric and how-to assemble each block. There is a side bar not that provides you with additional information on using your materials. In the instructions, there are graphics displaying what you are reading and finally an "extra" is thrown in by giving you another design option. If a particular quilt needs a template, it is provided.
The final pages of the booklet provide quilting basics such as how to select the batting, make templates or finish the quilt. Everything is provided in this booklet to help you create a wonderful quilt except for the fabric. Just dig into your own stash and you will have wonderful quilts to snuggle under.
Good darn deal!!!
This is a fun and instructional book that generates lots of ideas and stash searching. One cannot read this book and not want to sit right down and start a project.
