Where's the beef?
Like from the old Wendy's commercials. I looked inside and didn't find much meat, substance. I found the book entertaining, read it cover to cover in 2 settings. She talked a lot about the Transgender magazine she use to publish; I'm sure ground breaking in its day, but the personal experiences like disappointments and failures where not in depth. Not a real deep, thought provoking emotionally enlightening book. A few good tid bits of advise based on her experiences, but note an inspiring story nor a much advice on dressing. Mostly fluff, granted I got the feeling she has a great attitude toward life, but I like books that deliver on many levels. This was not it.
a very good read
Get Dressed! was very interesting. I used to get the magazine before they stopped and always wondered what happened. As always each person have a story about how they came out and why and I think everyone is interesting. Most interesting is what she did once she came out. Gina explains about the pains and pleasures of running various businesses and what she learned for them. And what she is doing now.
very good
I read this story in a short amount of time only wish it were longer or more stories about Gina's life A worthwhile read Excellent
