Customer Reviews
Excellent
This is an excellent map. Compared with the National Geographic DestinationMap, this one has more detail and covers a wider area. The backside includes a large map of the entire Cape Peninsula and small maps of Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Kirstenbosch Garden, Simon's Town, Silvermine Reserve, and Cape Point. It's printed on heavy duty paper that appears to be somewhat water-resistant.
Great guide for self directed exploration
Used this map during our 5 days in Cape Town and the general vicinity. Used it for day trips to Hermanus/Gansbaai, Franchoek/Stellenbosch/Paarl, and the Cape of Good Hope. The roads were accurately marked, and this map saved us a couple times when we were on poorly marked roads at night in less than desireable areas. The map itself is fairly large though--takes up the front seat--but compared to $90 for a South Africa Tom Tom map, spending $8 on this was well worth it.
