Editorial Reviews
From the Author
I have been fascinated with indoor gardening for more than 20 years. In the early 1980s there was little information on the subject, so I started to do research. I made hundreds of phone calls and visited countless nurseries. Soon I started writing articles in the Organic Gardening, Houseplant and the Growing Edge Magazine. The research progressed into the Gardening Indoors Series - NEW REVISED GARDENING INDOORS, GARDENING INDOORS WITH CO2, GARDENING INDOORS WITH CUTTINGS, GARDENING INDOORS WITH HID LIGHTS, GARDENING INDOORS WITH ROCKWOOL. This is the only series of books that deals with indoor gardening and High Intensity Discharge lighting. The series has helped hundreds of thousands of indoor gardeners enjoy exotic flowers and vegetables grown indoors. I am also available at our web site.

Customer Reviews
Small book, but packed with information
The book contains about 88 pages divided into five sections. The sections are Environment, Nutrients, Rooting Medium, Hormones, and Cuttings. The book contains several hand sketches.
The book is well written and covers many fundamentals about growing plants indoor. Also, it's original information. This book is not just a re-write from Van Patten's other book, "Gardening Indoors with HID Lights". It is completely different information. All new writing.
This is a solid beginner's guide. Although, the book does make the process sound way too simple. In my first attempt, all my cuttings died. Yes - I did follow the instructions. But it's not as simple as it first looks. It takes several attempts to get good at propagating plants.
I wish the book had a troubleshooting section. Answering questions like, "why are my little plants turning yellow?"
It's a small book, but packed with information. A good value.
yellowing cuts
cutting that yellow have too many leaves, and is trying to suck more nitrogen then it has available.
