Review
The Creative Curriculum For Infants & Toddlers provides a comprehensive, yet easy-to-use framework for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program. Designed for use in both center-based and family child care settings, The Creative Curriculum For Infants & Toddlers emphasizes that relationships between caregivers/teachers and children and families are the focus of curriculum for very young children. The Creative Curriculum For Infants & Toddlers is based on accepted theories of child development and the latest research on the importance of early learning and the development of the brain. There are separate forms for young infants, mobile infants, and a toddlers to guide the user through the process of individualizing curriculum goals and objectives to fit the particular needs and interests of each child. Unique to this curriculum are planning forms helping to pinpoint specific goals for working with children's families, thereby enabling the user to form true working partnerships. Each section includes letters (in both English and Spanish) to promote a partnership and support children's learning. The Creative Curriculum For Infants & Toddlers is further enhanced with a comprehensive guide for planning, addressing five routines, and discussions of eight activities. -- Midwest Book Review

Pleasing and Practical!
It is difficult to find a comprehensive curriculum guide for infants and toddlers- but here it is! This book is well-organized and easy-to-read. It begins with basic information on developmental issues specific to infants and toddlers. Then it moves on to practical information on how to create an optimal environment for infants, toddlers, and their families. Information is culturally-sensitive and developmentally appropriate. There are numerous sample forms and program plans that professionals can use as a guide in creating an infant/toddler program. There are also vignettes that allow the reader to see how the information can be applied. I highly recommend this book as a reference for the professional working with this population!
Good Supplement
This is a good general book for preschool setup. It tells how to set up a program and what aspects of the day are important to include for the developmental level of very young children. However, it is not really a curriculum per se, as it does not include lesson plans or even a great many of suggested learning activities. While it contains a lot of important and useful information, it needs to be accompanied by a book which has more detailed activities.
Our curriculum of choice!
This is the curriculum adopted by our school district for Infant/Toddler Early Intervention programs and Pre K VE.
