Customer Reviews
Hidcote: The Garden and Lawrence Johnston
Excellent detailed description of the history of the garden. Good bird's eye view of the garden makes it easy to follow locations. Overall descriptions of individual gardens but for me not enough details on plants. Nice planting plan drawing of the red border. Wished other areas had been detailed in the same way. Of the current books on Hidcote this is by far the best.
Remembering Hidcote
I purchased this book because when I was actually at Hidcote I neglected to buy it and regretted the decision later. The book is an excellent one, covering all aspects of the garden well. The photos are beautiful and a true representation. Hidcote is one of England's best, and for lovers of gardens, a must see. If one can't actually be there, pacify yourself with this book.
