Bettendorf, Iowa, author Patrick J. Flaherty is an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 89 in Bettendorf, helping build the troop from 11 scouts to more than 70 members. Two of his three sons are Eagle Scouts and his youngest is currently working on his Eagle Scout project.

Excellent Resource
This is the place for a quick "Scoutmaster's Minute." Packed with great quotes that are great for life as well as scouts.

A must have for all Scouter's
Mr. Flaherty has captured the very essence of what Scouting is all about. He has used his extensive Scouting experience to put in writing many thought provoking and easy to remember core values.

He has found a way to look at our heritage and use quality quotes from the past to enhance our everyday lives. I find this book a must read for all young men. Great item to keep by the nightstand for future reference and reflection.

Great scouting resource
I bought this book to get some quotes to use at my son's Eagle Court of Honor. Excellent resource, not only for scouting, but also for character education!!!
