Amazon.com Review
Constructed of durable, rip-proof fabric, the new 56-pocket organizer from Bucket Boss improves on what was already a great idea. Unlike the toolboxes of old, the Bucket Boss organizer stores tools where they're visible and easy to access. And, with 38 exterior pockets and 18 more on the inside, the Bucket Boss really does have a place for just about everything. We've loaded ours down with wrenches, handsaws, screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, pencils, utility knives, pliers, and drill bit sets. There's even a padded pocket for your cordless drill. We quickly discovered, however, that depending on how you load it, the Bucket Boss can get a little top-heavy. After ours tipped over in the back of our truck, we reloaded it with our hammerheads down, and it hasn't tipped since. We recommend the Bucket Boss 56 for remodelers, carpenters, electricians, repair people, or any other professional who brings a lot of hand tools to the job; it also makes the perfect tool kit for do-it-yourselfers moving through the house from room to room and project to project. --Jon Groebner

I shoulda stayed with the 35 pocket
Yep, this thing is handy, alright, but they added non-stretch pockets to the outside to increase the number. Bad idea. The pockets are just a tad smaller than on the 35, so there's actually a net loss in storage space because fewer things fit in these pockets. I find that alot of the stuff I used to snug into a pocket on the 35 get tossed into the bucket on the 56 cuz they just dont fit without a fight. If the pockets had just a little bit of 'give' to the fabric, or there were more 'balloon' pockets, I'd claim this was a bigger winner than the 35.
Better than a box
The Bucket Boss is one of those brilliant why-didn't-I-think-of-it ideas you see every now and then. It seems so obvious, after all. Every tradesman has more 5 gallon buckets than he (or she) knows what to do with, and a lot of these buckets get turned into toolboxes by default. They get filled with boxes of screws, random power tools and hand tools, and miscllaneous stuff from the shop or site.
For the price of a cheap plastic toolbox, the Bucket Boss provides a way to organize all those tools and parts into a convenient package. They're far more rugged than the typical plastic toolbox- no hinges or latches to break. They're also a far better way to organize your gear than the typical toolbox, with its single removeable tray. Even if you have to buy the bucket new they're still a better deal than most toolboxes.
I've got three of them now, roughly divided up by task. I've got a plumbing bag (that replaced the old rusting plumbing toolbox), a general construction bag with my toolbelt, square, chalkline, tape, small handsaws and so forth, and another with screws, nails, screwdriver, corded drill, screwgun, zip tool and other small tools. Everything is out where I can see it.
Makes you money, keeps you sane.
I bought this bucket based on the recommendation of the first reviewer (Thanks, George!) and it's worth every penny. I have had several bucket pouch sets but they all seemed to come up a bit short - little did I know how short until I started using the Bucket Boss 56. Earlier brands always seemed to have pockets that were too short, too narrow, too wide or too deep - it was always a chore to store. The layout of this unit was well thought out. Theres a place for even those really weird shaped things. It just seems that the pocket you need is `right there' more often than not. A lot of thought went into this pouch. In just a few months I am sure it has paid its way on the job site already. With the really tough materials it's made from it looks like the ongoing savings will go into my pocket for a long time hence. After all isn't that what tools are for?
