Amazon.com Review
The sounds of nature are sweet, but the music of chirping birds, chattering squirrels, and rustling leaves is even sweeter when accompanied by Woodstock's large garden bells. These charming sound sculptures will catch the wind, delighting your guests' ears and eyes. The bells are designed not only to endure--but also to be enhanced by--all seasons: as the bells fill with rainwater, their tones change. The brass bells are set in a weather-resistant "GardenStone" base, ensuring stability in even the windiest of climates. These garden bells are also available in a smaller version. Woodstock prides itself on being a socially responsible company, explaining that "through the sale of our chimes we proudly support the arts, as well as many environmental and humanitarian causes." Add some harmony to your yard or garden while contributing to the harmony of the earth.

Customer Reviews

A dud for me1
I purchased these bells thinking the idea was good, water would change the tones of the chimes and I would hear plenty of beautiful music. What I found was that the chimes rarely made any noise. There just wasn't enough wind down low to make them move. I returned them to the store. A much better bet are the traditional woodstock chimes which get plenty of breeze and have simply phenomenal tone.

This is my experience with the Woodstock Garden Bell, Large3
These bells are beautiful & definitely add to the front yard. They need either a strong breeze or a brush with your hand to make them chime. I would not return them as I'm pleased with my purchase & in the future would like to buy a second one. I can say from looking around this is a very good price. They do not chime alot but they are "bells"(I wonder if they would chime more if the bells & their stems were hung upside down?? *grin* just kidding). I put them next to the path to my door so I can ring them when I walk by. I was disappointed one windy day when they fell over & some of the bells came off the stems although all I had to do is put them back in place. I think before winter comes I'll sink the base a little into the ground & add rocks on top of the base stone to keep them from falling over again. I hope sharing my experience with them has been helpful in your decision about this product.

A Delight in my Garden5
I LOVE my garden bells! They make my garden sound as pretty as it looks. I enjoy hearing the gentle notes as I work in my garden. I followed the directions to adjust the bells for the wind in my area. The bells have done well in light summer breezes and survived well our nasty winter weather. One of my friends lined his entire garden path with a dozen garden bells. It is awesome - both in sight and sound. Gardens bells are a great and different gift for gardeners.
