Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
Crafted from a blend of materials, this 12-inch-diameter deep skillet from Farberware offers the excellent conductivity of aluminum with the convenience of a nonstick interior. The pan features highly polished 2-1/4-inch sides with a slight slope--great for cooking cornbread or frying meats. Oven-safe to 350 degrees F, the pan requires little oil during cooking, releases food with minimal sticking, and cleans up easily. Its comfortable phenolic handle is stoutly riveted, stays cool during stovetop use, and sports a hanging ring. Farberware recommends hand washing and the use of wooden, plastic, or nylon utensils to best preserve the skillet's interior. --Emily Bedard

Bigger is better!5
This is the perfect pan for making single-skillet meals. Unlike conventional shallow pans this one is deep enough to hold food for four people. Scramble eggs for the whole family! Basically it's a modern replacement for a wok -- lots of capacity without the carcinogen risk of high-heat cooking.

The only downside? There's no lid. I can make do with the lid from my 20-quart lobster-cooking pot, but it's not an exact fit. I'd gladly pay a couple extra bucks for a matching lid.

Farberware seems to have hit the sweet spot in trading off sturdiness and economy. I've dropped this once or twice onto my kitchen floor and the bootom is still flat. The non-stick coating is still non-sticking. Yes, you can get better-quality skillets, but not for near this price.

Highly recommended.

had mine five years5
I love my pan. The only drawback is that it doesn't come with a lid. I happen to have one that fits, so that isn't a problem for me. I even use this big pan to fry a couple of eggs. It is used almost every meal. Great quality!

Good so far...4
For the price, this pan has so far served me very well. I've only had it for a month or so, so I suppose it may wear out, but at the moment it's an excellent pan. And at this price, it doesn't exactly have to last a lifetime, either.
