Product Description
Among the trio of Dutch ABC Islands that includes Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba is an increasingly popular choice for sun-seekers and honeymooners. Its palm-lined beaches, casinos, and dry, perpetually sunny climate immediately put weary travelers from northern climes in good spirits. It's more arid than you might expect of a Caribbean island, mind you-you'll be seeing cactus plants rather than abundant greenery-but its abundant trade winds make for excellent windsurfing. Safe and relatively free of overdevelopment, Aruba has a less distinctive local culture than other Caribbean islands, but you're still in the right place for sun and sand.
IgoUgo Travel Report: Aruba is not your average travel guide. Every piece of advice found in these pages comes from regular travelers and locals-not paid professionals or PR people-which means pure, unfiltered opinions on what to see (and what to avoid) during your trip. You'll find first-hand details on attractions and day trips, along with restaurant, nightlife, and activity recommendations in all price ranges and for all interests. You'll also see our contributors' original photographs and insider tips on every page-no other travel guide can say that.
IgoUgo contributors hail from all over the globe and travel just about everywhere in between. These avid travelers share their adventures and snapshots in online journals at IgoUgo.com, the world's premier web-based travel community. Our 350,000+ members have written over 300,000 journal entries covering more than 4,000 destinations. Not what was expected
I bought this travel report assuming there would be some valuable content. What I found was just a list of short blogs of what some person had to say about some place or activity. It probably took 15 minutes to put this thing together using cut and paste. No prices, best times to go, no real tips or useful information other than to not snorkel into a corral reef. In the midst of the blogs there were several brief factoids about Aruba (to fill in the space I suppose). Again, nothing of travel value. I bought a couple books so hopefully I'll have better luck with those.
