Customer Reviews
Melafix is a must-have medication for guppies.
As it's stated above,it rapidly repairs damaged fins, heals open wounds, treats fin and tail rot.I observed growth of new fins and tissue in as little as 3-7 days of treatment.
Please use a small tank to isolate the sick fish.Only use melafix in that small tank ONLY for your sick fish.Melafix is a very strong medication. It causes damage to some plants,if not all. After your fish gets better, move it to another small tank, watch him for 5-7 more days,to see if it needs more melafix. When it's totally ok,move it back to the first tank with other fish.Never use melafix in your main fish tank, only to cure a few fish, cause you don't want melafix around your healthy fish!If most of your fish get sick, just try to remove the plants and hiding places,to observe the fish all the time, while using Melafix. One partial water change is not enough to get rid of melafix, after your fish recover.Do a few partial water changes, maybe 20% weekly, for 2-3 weeks. All in all Melafix is a must, specially if you have guppies.Keep a bottle handy, and if your beloved guppies happen to have tail and fin damage or rot,Melafix will save the life of most of your guppies in a few days!

Great for healing frayed fins from fighting
Great product. I have a cichlid tank and the new arrivals are always getting pecked at initially. Melafix, without having to remove the carbon from your filter, patches up frayed fins and chipped scales in a few days. I haven't tried anything else, but this works pretty well for me.
