Halogen Par Flood Light Bulbs5
I looked all over for bulbs for my Allure Exhaust Fan. These bulbs matched perfectly. Thanks!

perfect for my kitchen fixture5
Living in the boonies, I like to have a lot of light bulbs on hand. When we bought a new ceiling light fixture for our kitchen we tried a number of bulbs in it. Our light fixture hangs to a little more than 6' above the floor and has two "cans" 1' apart for the two light bulbs. The cans are nearly cone-shaped. They are a matte white inside. The fixture calls for two 50-watt R20 bulbs. Bulbs that are length 20 are just right. 30 length bulbs hang down too low below the cans.

This light bulb worked better than P20 because it has a relatively flat lens, and has a very narrow glass edge that lets out the right amount of light below the "can". The matte white finish inside the cones does not reflect well. The texture on the inside of the lens diffuses the light very nicely and minimizes glare. The two 50-watt light bulbs gave more light than other styles of bulbs that we had on hand.

I could not find this bulb in any local store, thus here I am at amazon and glad to find it.

If you are replacing a bulb, you will find "Capsylite" in the center of the lens. Very hard to read. You will also see "narrow flood" indicated by the "NFL" on the metal side in the middle of the bulb specs.

30 degree microlens wide angle for 3 bucks less than home store5
I have to use halogen lighting in my system because the dimmers are not compatible with compact florescent, so these bulbs are golden. It's a lightbult, name brand, and it does have the microlenses on the glass - the spread is nice, and the price is right. This is almost 10 dollars a bulb from the home improvement store and there is no shipping from the supplier amazon selected.

If you can't go CF for energy savings, then this is a great option. I tried the CFs for dimmers but they created a buzz on my audio video system so back to halogen again for now. Some day these will be obsolete.
