O.K. GRASS CATCHER BUT NOT EXACTLY PERFECT
Since I bought the Brill Luxus 38 (see my review also on Amazon) and I am very pleased with it, I opted at a later date for the grass catcher. First, the positives: (1) It is very light weight(mostly nylon with a light plastic bottom). (2) The grass catcher also assembles easy and (3) it can be removed and re-attached without any technical worry...folks this is green technology in its simplest possible form. The negatives are as follows: (1) It really doesn't hold that much grass compared to what you might be used to with a regular lawn mower catcher...and it is held at an angle on the mower that allows a small portion of the grass to slide off; (2) it only picks up about 75% of all mown grass as some of the grass sprays past the catcher (3) the construction is a bit flimsy...the nylon could be easily pierced if one hits a rock or tree branch so be careful. With that said if you really need a grass catcher and you have a Brill then go ahead. The price (around $40) isn't that expensive. Overall, it picks up most of the lawn clippings though again don't expect perfection. I'm glad that I bought it and while it's not flawless it seems to do the job.

Limited height adjustment and too narrow
I bought this mower four years ago when I bought a new house. It was good when the lawn was newly sodded and not very dense. Then into later summer, grass grew so fast and dense. Using this mower became very difficult. For dense area, I had to use full force to push it and ran at full speed to not get stuck. Some area I had to repeat a few times. I am 5'10 and by no means a weak person. My wife said watching me cutting grass was like watching me fight a war with the grass. It was definitely good workouts!

The mower is narrow and has maximum height of a little over 2". This limitation caused grass was cut too low (for centipede at least) and not even. It is also hard to use on slope.

A year later, I got a gas Lawboy mower. Although I need to deal with gas, oil, and such but it cuts grass far better and easier. I am very happy with my Lawnboy and the Brill has sit in garage for three years. This reminds me to check to make sure it doesn't have rust.

If you lives in south, have centipede grass, and your yard is not small and flat, then stay away from this mower.

A Sturdy Grass Catcher
The Brill grass catcher is assembled in seconds. It is very easy to hook and unhook from the push mower and seem nearly undestructible. The perfect grass catcher!
