Customer Reviews

Disappointing1
Purchased five of these sets thinking they would be fun stocking stuffers. Wanting to check out what I purchased, I opened one of the five. The geodes are tiny (not as pictured). It was like breaking open dirt-clods... that have a small empty space inside... but not crystals. Maybe it was a "dud" box, but will probably be returning the other four.

Geodes a bust!3
I bought two sets. Great idea and my grandkids liked it the excitement of breaking them to see what was inside. The problem was that only two of the geodes were as large as a small walnut the other three were about the size of a nickel with nothing to see inside. Very disappointing.

Awesome learning experience5
My son and I had a blast opening the geodes and finding the crystals inside. You must use an old sock and a hammer to break them open (yes, the sock will have holes in it when you are done). When we opened the box I was surprised to see how little the stones were, but they really pack the crytals! All the rocks in our box had crystals.
It made learning fun as I explained to him how geodes are created. Kids that are into hands-on science stuff will just love these.
Not only are these worth the money for memory making, they make great keepsakes for the treasure box, too.
