If your budding artist has a tendency to leave paper, paints, markers, and other art supplies all over the place, this is a great way to encourage some organizational skills while letting your child know you support their creativity. The Art Master Activity Desk is made of super-sturdy molded plastic and has a white fiberboard drawing surface that measures 20 by 11 inches and hinges up to reveal three separate storage spaces. There are molded-in compartments for crayons, markers, and paintbrushes, and two side compartments to hold books, pads of paper, and other art supplies. There's even a built-in overhead lamp that can be powered by batteries or plugged directly into the wall (using the included DC six-volt adapter). A bright red top tray holds markers, glue, and other craft items. Complete with its own extra-sturdy desk chair in bright red plastic, this desk is ready to transform any corner of the room into a full studio for arts and crafts projects. --John Longenbaugh

The activity desk includes everything to nurture a child's creative side. The desk features an overhead lamp for play or study. There is a hinged melamine writing surface that wipes clean and opens to a large storage area. Kids can keep books and other supplies in two deep, molded-in side compartments. A raised shelf holds books, crayons, makers and other writing implements. There is also a large work surface that features recessed compartments for paint, glue and other accessories. Children can really make this desk their own and can feel comfortable doing arts and crafts projects on it as well as reading a book or doing schoolwork. Art Master Activity Desk can also teach a greater level of responsibility as kids will be able to keep the desk in order and clean and refurbish supplies when needed.

My girl loves it
My daughter recieved this for Christmas and she loves it. It has lots of space for her to put all her art supplies. It is very sturdy, we don't have to worry about it breaking if she bumps into it when she's playing. I was a little worried that it was going to be too small for her (she's almost 6), but the chair is very sturdy to hold her and she sits at it quite comfortably. The only downfall that I have seen is the light doesn't stay on long at all and it isn't bright enough for her to see well to draw. She actually doesn't even use the light because it only stays on for a few seconds at a time. Other than that, the desk is a hit.
great sturdy kids desk
this desk is very sturdy and functional. i like that the chair is not attached, so we can use that at the kids tables and for other things. there are places to store pens/markers. and lots of little compartments and other sotrage for papers and art supplies. you can lift up the writing desk to store papers and writing utensils. the light is pretty weak and requires too many batteries, so we don't use that. as far as desks go, this is a great one for the money. my kids don't like to sit at desks, so it doesn't get as much use as we thought.
