Amazon.com Product Description
The decor-friendly M-4KP four-source keypad is designed to control a single zone of speakers within JobSite's M-64 multizone receiver system. The keypad, which is about the size of a light switch, installs conveniently in any wall of your home, so you don't have to trek all the way to the receiver to adjust the volume of the garage speakers, for example. It's especially effective when combined with the JobSite M-10KP keypad--a 10-key unit that expands control of the entire system to include direct access to all your source components. By itself, the M-4KP includes four backlit source keys and five cursor keys, along with volume, mute, and off keys. To assist you in identifying the buttons, it also comes with 200 key labels that cover almost any source (DVD player, CD player, satellite system, etc.).
Programming is relatively simple thanks to the M-64 receiver, which stores individual component codes within its built-in memory. And though you do need to cut into an existing wall to install the M-4KP, the work itself is relatively straightforward. Recommended tools include an RJ45 crimper and connectors, a 1/4-inch slotted screwdriver, a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver, a wire stripper, and wire labels. The keypad even includes different-colored inserts--white, bone, and almond--so you can adapt to varying wall colors.
The keypad, which requires individual wiring runs of Category 5 or better and fits most single gang junction boxes, measures 1.75 by 4 by 1.62 inches (W x H x D) and requires a 2.56-inch cutout depth. It's also backed by a two-year warranty. Note that M-64 owners will need a separate M-4KP keypad for each speaker zone.
What's in the Box
M-4KP keypad, three Decora-style inserts (white, bone, and almond), two mounting screws, two faceplate screws, label sheet, installation manual.
