About the Author
Bob Duval joined the Senior PGA Tour in 1996, after nearly thirty years as a teacher and golf pro in Northern Florida. In 1999 he won the Emerald Coast Classic, his first win, on the same day that his son David won the Players Championship on the PGA Tour. He is a playing editor for Golf Digest magazine. He lives in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Carl Vigeland is the author of several books, including, with Wynton Marsalis, Jazz in the Bittersweet Blues of Life. He has written about golf and many other subjects for such magazines as Golf Digest, Playboy, The Atlantic Monthly, Fast Company, and DoubleTake. He lives in Massachusetts.

WHAT A INSPIRATIONAL SHORT WORK.
This one is well worth the read. Not only is it quite inspirational, it is simply filled with wisdom. While the emphasis of corse centers around the wonderful game of golf and will certainly be enjoyed by both young and old golfers alike, it goes far beyond the game and could be throughly enjoyed by anyone, even if you never picked up a club. The book is a series of letters from a man to his son. They are the kind of letters all fathers should be able to write thier sons (and daughters, for that matter). Recommend this one highly. It is probably one you will want to add to your collection.

Perspectives on Life from A Golfer
Addressing life from a golf perspective, Bob Duval does so in a series of letters. Mentoring friends, students, family and his father, he reveals that the only secret to the game is there is no secret.

His advice his tempered by his experiences and those related to him. Thus, this mentoring oozes with one poignant thought: play the shot that's in front of you.

The Duvals have had plenty of that medicine to swallow to teach them. Loss of son, of marriage, of love for the game. From that grit comes this mentoring sage.
