Do NOT buy this Wine Cooler1
I bought this product two years ago based strictly on looks, features, and dimensions. Within 3 months it leaked all its coolant and was deemed unrepairable. Customer service was near impossible to contact, rarely returned calls, and took over 3 months replacing the unit. 1 yr 4 months later the new unit no longer cools... and the warranty has expired.
I am choosing to not fight this battle again and will not purchase an Avanti product ever again.

...But it DOES look great, humm politely, and fit perfectly in my custom kitchen.

DON'T BUY AVANTI - Customer Service is the worst1
I bought an Avanti Wine fridge and all of the sudden had temperature stability issues.
On the Avanti website they had listed a company in my area (Savannah, GA) that was Avanti certified. When I called them, they told me that they no longer do business with Avanti because of how many times they did not get paid by Avanti for warranty work and the delay in getting parts.
I called Avanti and asked them about fixing it. When I gave her my model number, she told me that my unit was one month out of warranty and that I was on my own. So I asked her for the name of someone who fixes Avanti units in my area since the company that they had stated on their website no longer worked on their stuff and she responded with "I can't help you. You have to look through the phone book"! Are you kidding me?
Multiple calls around the area yielded nothing! Nobody touches these things! At this point I decided to try and fix it myself since I have some electronics background.
Called back Avanti customer service and after the standard 15 to 20 minute wait, I was able to get the representative to email me the service manual for my unit.
I found out what part I needed and placed an order on 7/20/09 for a cheap part that cost $10.75. I ask her to rush it and she states that all their parts go out the same and I will receive it in 5 to 10 business days.
A few weeks now go by and I see that they finally take the money out of my account on 8/1/09. A week or 2 after this, still no part. I call back customer service and after taking 15 minutes just to figure out the deal, she tells me that they sent it out but UPS lost it and that they would send me another one in, you guessed it, 5 to 10 business days. At no time does the representative say "I apologize", "I am sorry for the inconvenience", etc.
So here is it 9/28/09 and I still have nothing. I called back today and receive the same answer that I did weeks back. We had shipped it correctly but UPS had lost my package. I told her that was the same excuse last time. I then demanded a refund. She states that she submitted the claim. Again no apologies, no I understand why you would be upset, nothing. I am very doubtful that I will ever see my money. Thank God it was only for $10.75.
To sum it up DO NOT BUY AVANTI products. There is no customer service. NONE. They act like you are bothering them every time you call and are miserable to deal with.
It takes me a lot to write a post. As a matter of fact this is my first post in 8 years and I buy a lot on-line.
Buy a product that has a good customer service record and plenty of places that can fix them in case it breaks.

Not Happy2
Before purchasing this product I read several reviews, one of which made reference to the unit changing temperature on its own. I experienced this same proble. I set the temperature for red wine at 58 degrees per the instructions but noticed a fluctual of as much as 5 degrees. When I called Avanti the customer service department was of no help. When I asked to speak with a supervision the line was disconnected. I have yet to receive a reply to either my repeated telephone calls or e-mails.

I would not purchase any Avanti product in the future.
