Customer Reviews

Wow! this thing Flies!5
I was browsing the net for R/C cars on a budget. Less than $60.00 to be exact. so, i stumble upon this cute pie. [...]. i was not expecting much, since all i wanted was a collectable i could play with. after charging the 9,6 volt battery (included), i took it for spin outside my house. it gradually picked up speed. it went so fast it was sent flying through the air after hitting a small crevasse on the floor. luckily it landed on its coated metal rack protecting it. this car claims to go more that 10 mph. i really do not know if it is true, though seeing a toyota fly is quite incredible. the antenna is hidden inside the body, which i find inconvenient. so, i drilled it out for better reception. it goes 10 ft further now. the front shocks are useless since the springs are very weak, making the car tilt and roll. i will add better ones later. but for 35 bucks this thing can run! almost as fast as my Dune Devil. plus the lights turn on. it is too fast for an 8 yr old.

Get What You Pay For2
We bought this car for our eight year old primarily based on price and low need for a high end car. We just wanted something to run around the yard etc. Well it looks nice and it runs, but the battery lasts for about twenty minutes then you're up for another 4 hour charge. Also the power on grass is non-existent. It won't run on grass. In addition, the car claims to have variable speeds... ummm no it doesn't. There's one speed forward and one speed back which tends to be a little too fast for indoors making the car hard to control and inflicting moderate damage to several of my baseboards. I'm actually worried about the dog getting hit. Lastly the car did not come with any directions or specs. There are a few don't do this and don't do thats on the back of the box and that's it. And don't try going to the manufacturers website since there is not any additional information there, and their home page launched some kind of attack on my computer. No kidding!!! my PC-cillin stopped and quarantined something the site tried to load on my machine. Oh, and did I mention the car is REALLY loud. Nonetheless my daughter is playing with the toy.
