Beautiful Memory of the Care of a Bear Cub Neglected by His Mother
The store was good. Quick shipping and reasonable price.

This Steiff bear is only from acrylic. It is intended to be a souvenir to those who saw Knut. Steiff, I believe, donated funds for the care of this cub. I never saw the bear. We have a newscaster in our town who showed Knut's story on his very brief presentation of "Animal Story". The story seemed special. I was touched by this evidence of human caring of which there is lots in this world, despite the cruelty of others.

I combined this bear with a very thin picture book and will display it in my home. It is such a beautiful true life story of a zoo keeper caring for this neglected bear cup.

The bear will forever be in a sitting position, the limbs are not jointed,but, I have at times taken this stuffed toy and just held it close to me. It brought a little comfort, just as many stuffed animals have done for us in the past and still do.
