Wow!
Okay. . . I didn't think I'd ever review Pine Sol. But, my kids are home from school this week due to spring break. And, we all decided (well, I decided, but they were surprisingly cooperative!) to do some spring cleaning.

I had been attempting to clean the woodwork of our fireplace at least once a week for quite a while since much of it was completely discolored. I started even thinking that it wasn't actually smoke residue from the fires we burned all winter since every cleaning product I tried did not take the dingy color away. I really thought it had just aged badly and had decided to repaint it in the next couple of weeks! Still, I decided to try cleaning it yet again today. But, today, all the nozzles in my spray cleaners weren't working properly so I thought I'd try cleaning it one last time with Pine Sol!

Lo and behold. . . all the smoke residue just disappeared! No scrubbing required at all! I still can't get over how sparkling new it looks!

Now these results are enough to warrant the five stars, but I had five bricks that were blackened with smoke residue and I hadn't even started to look into a brick cleaner. Now the Pine Sol dripped onto the brick and the smoke residue on the bricks is also gone!

This old standby is a great product for more than floors.
